The 10 Most Wanted…

{Disclaimer: This is where I list the things I want.
Not need.
Want.
Like really, really WANT.}

1.  A new laptop.  I used my laptop the other day for the first time in months I think.  It is slow.  It is bulky and heavy.  It needs to be replaced.

2.  DSLR camera.  I have my eye on this beauty.  Nope, not the best of the best.  But better than what I am using now.

3.  My birthday gift from 2009.  It is late.  Seriously late.  I demand interest.

4.  Fabulously cute shoes to run in…they look so comfortable.  My knee will thank me later.

5.  New earrings.  Naturally, they come from Tiffany.  The jewelry mecca.  These will do.  So will these.

6.  I turn 29 in only 15 days.  I am starting to freak a bit.  I have nothing I have ‘always dreamed of’.  I want some of those things.  Selfishly.

7.  A nice seaside vacation.  This will do just fine.

Positano, Italy

8.  Fall.  I want fall to get here all ready.  I am hating the heat.  I am ready for sweaters and jeans.  I want falling leaves and apple picking.  I want tailgates (not the ones I am working at) and football.

9.  To get together with a ‘long lost friend’, Michele.  We have tried and tried to come together.  Despite living only 1.5 hours apart we never seem to.  I am desperate to see her and at least give her a hug.  She has a house that I have never seen.  A family I love.  And humor and love in her heart that is unknown to many.  I was in her wedding.  She was in mine. Despite being a ‘long lost friend’ she will always be one of the best.

10.  Peace.  Comfort.  Security.  Happiness.

Nice list there, Amanda :)
I heartily approve lol
Especially #7

okay, here is an idea you might want to try (my grown daughter did this for her trip to Japan):
1) Make a list (as above) of what you REALLY REALLY REALLY want in order of importance:
2) beside each item alot a practical, logical amt of time to achieve each desire (my daughter allowed herself two years to painlessly & creatively come up with the funds for a super duper trip)
3) Then start ‘picking away’ at each mountain (item) on your list until you have acquired/accomplished everything you can reasonably hope to.
4) and if you happen to *fail* to make any of the items come true, at least you will have the wonderful satisfaction of what you DID work towards & achieve for yourself, as well as an important lesson in delayed gratification.

Here’s wishing you a VERY happy upcoming birthday and all your beautiful dreams coming true :D
