For this sweet little fucker to be 100% potty trained.

Bo’s little nuggets of fun are beginning to be not so much fun to clean up. Not that they ever were fun to clean up but the fact that he leaves us a surprise in the living room every day we are at work is painful.
Plus Bo likes to leave me fun things around the house that he ‘found’. Like yesterday he ‘found’ my unopened 18 pack of english muffins that I just bought from Costco. They were on the desk in the kitchen. Obviously I left them somewhere he could get to them whenever he wanted a snack.
They were everywhere in the house. Some obviously licked to death and some were half eaten…at least it was only $5 gone to waste.
I want everyone to think like the college pro painters that came to my door last week.
They took one look at this face:
And proceeded to ask if my mom or dad were home.
At my house.
So I chuckled a little and told them that I owned the house and they seemed honestly shocked. This made my month, the fact that they thought I was young enough looking to still live with my parents was a great ego boost.
I ran last night (collective cheers were had by all), 4.5 miles in 15* weather with a 2* wind chill temp.
I thought I was really stupid at first but I then discovered that winter running in the snow is my favorite. FAVORITE! Somehow I had forgotten this from last year… I don’t like the fact that my ass and thighs freeze up like a Thanksgiving day turkey fresh from the freezer but I love how peaceful and beautiful everything is. I really want to have winter stretch out into summer this year because I loathe the hot weather more than the Kardashians and Jersey Shore.
Plus, on this January Friday I want some uninterrupted sleep and 2 fatty ass naps this weekend. One would be great right after my 9 miler on Sunday!
What do you WANT this week!?

I want to win the lotto this week. lol.
My boston when I had him was crated when I was not home or it was a mess. They won’t or I should say shouldn’t poop in the crate because it becomes their “bed/home/nest”. I lost $20 from a hungry pup one day so yeah I believe in the crate!
I can’t wait to hear if you won the lotto…..
Bo would pee in his crate when he was younger and in there all day, he just didn’t have the bladder control yet…he only poops during the day when we are at work, and right in front of the fireplace each and every time.
I tried keeping him from opening my closet doors by putting 5# weights in front of each door to deter him. DIdn’t work, he took ALL of my shoes out of the closet. Good boy.
If it makes you feel any better, our large mix breed dog can open eye level kitchen cabinets and treats herself to things like Crisco, Peanut Butter, Cookies, etc. But her true love is bread products which were stored in our microwave until last weekend when she pulled it off the cabinet high shelf so it nicely broke open when it hit the floor. It was like her own personal treasure chest of carbs. So it’s back to muzzling her which I HATE.
Good luck with Bo!
OMG, she pulled your microwave off of the shelf for the bread?! HAHA! That is nuts.
I hate having to crate him probably just as much as you hate muzzling…
our fist dog was total heck on our house. he didn’t eat things left in the kitchen, he ate the woodwork in the kitchen!!! our latest dog (who luckily outgrew this phase or i’m not sure what we would do with him) ate our irrigation system!!! ugggh. anyway, they usually outgrow it. patience, grasshopper.
Wow. The irrigation system is nothing compared to some english muffins and a few pairs of my cheap heels……
Due to Delilah’s propensity for being on top of the refrigerator, the puggles are crated when we aren’t home. Also, if we are leaving food out for each other it goes in the microwave for protection. My dogs are jerks. The good news is they haven’t eaten any furniture in years. It gets better.
Furniture? Wow. Luckily Bo has not gone for woodwork or furniture yet…
Hold on while I quit peeing my pants laughing. Oh wait, that counts as more you get to clean up. We also just got a puppy, though she managed to house train herself within a week. Yeah, she’s probably the smartest dog ever in the whole wide world. However, she does start each day by taking my slippers that I doffed the night prior. It’s her cute and endearing way to wake me in the morning with a day and heart warming start: “Get back here with my slipper you rat ass pup!” Next thing you know, I am out of bed. Friggin pup has me trained.
A week? Send her over here and have her help Bo out with this.
I love that she takes your slippers! Bo likes to rearrange the items we leave out when we are at work. He moves the kids shoes upstairs to the landing and my slippers to the kitchen and best yet was a coat of mine that I left out, he thought that should live on the guest bed.
I want to run more consistently this week and stop eating so much junk food! One can only hope…
I know all too well the sneaky habits of Boston Terrier puppies. Mine used to eat high heel shoes too so watch out!
Bo does like to chew on my high heels….he found my only nice pair of heels (coach sandals) and chewed the crap out of the heel. Ugh.
Wow, you waited for it to be REALLY cold before you started running again. Hardcore.
I sure as hell did…and of course, today is my off day and it is 45* out already. Ugh, the weather…
