ugly wooden kitchen wall – coming up!

Since my knee was injected on Friday morning I thought that it would be safe to run in a short race on Saturday morning.  I initially planned on the 7 mile (as my training plan called for 7 miles this weekend – love how that worked out) but I dropped down to the 3.5 mile race instead.  I didn’t want to put too much pressure on my knee too soon after having it injected.
I think I made the best choice by sticking with the shorter of the two.

PLUS, I have a new PR now.
3.5 miles – 36:19.
The funny thing is that my last 5K time was higher than this, so I was fun and ‘speedy’ at this race.
I attempted to show you how great my SkinnyRunner shirt looked on…but alas, I am camera timer stupid and this was the best picture I could get.  Yes, the best.
On the plus side, you get to see where the microwave is…where the bread is….where the dogs food is…all the important things you never knew you cared about before.

Brady had a Mexican Fiesta at school yesterday…on a Sunday…we watched them all sing songs and dance around using their new spanish termanology.  It was a long 45 minutes.  Cute, but long.
The best part of the afternoon was how shy Brady gets at times, he was so upset about having to go that he was crying, and was about to cry when he walked into the room…and he barely participated in the singing and hand motions.
One thing Brady did do.
Shoot this kid The Brady Death Glare.  And he totally deserved it.  He was LOUD and annoying during the whole program, he even took off his costume right away after he sat down.

Brady’s future wife is also in this pre-K class.  He proposed to her last week by giving her a glow stick necklace and a small ring.  I guess she tied the ring to her shoe and wore the necklace.  At least this boy is learning what kind of jewelry she is into now instead of making all the mistakes when he gets older.

All in all it was a busy weekend.  There was that whole super bowl thing and I did make the trek to Ikea for my first visit, but I missed my Sunday afternoon nap I’ll tell ya.  I have become such a baby when it comes to long days without naps.

Have you ever been to Ikea?  Love it or Hate it?
Did you have a pre-k girl/boyfriend?

Oh Brady, you are so adorable! His death glare is fantastic. I swear I saw lasers shooting right through that other kid.
