Right about now most people have already forgotten that they made New Years Resolutions or goals for themselves. New Years was just a holiday that has come and gone in the eyes of the majority. Have you been exercising every day like you wanted to? Have you given up fast food as you resolved? Changes are you aren’t doing as well as you wanted to at this point in the month.
I have a list of 10 goals that I want to try and hit this year and I am still going strong sticking with them. I keep them listed in my planner and I take a moment to look at them every week so I am constantly reminded of how important they are to me. I wrote them down for a reason and I need to keep my eyes on the prize.
One of my goals is to hit and maintain my goal weight. I am about 11-17 pounds away from that goal weight and I am doing everything in my power to better my chances of getting there sooner than later. I recently signed up over at Lose It! and I found their calorie tracking and exercise tracking to be superior to other sites who boast the same options. I have tracked my daily calorie intake and output through them and it couldn’t be any easier to use. Register yourself on the site and start tracking, it is honestly just that easy. The best news? You can even track your calories on the go with their Lose It! app! It is a free download in the app store.

Is every food ever made listed in their online database? No, but I can personally tell you how easy it is to add one. If you know the serving size, calories, fat grams and other items like protein and carbohydrates you are ready to add a food of your own. I mean it when I say that this site is terribly easy to use from the start, there is no learning curve and it is very user friendly. Try it out, I’m sure you’ll find that it is something that is easily integrated into your New Years Resolutions or your daily goals from here on out.

That LoseIt! app is super cool. I recommend it to all of my friends and they are not disappointed. It definitely makes you much smarter about the choices you make for food.
How is the training for Glass City going? We have something like 13 weeks to go right? With this super cold weather I hope you have somewhere indoors to run!
I LOATHE running inside, least of all on a DREADmill. Honestly, I am 100% an outside runner. I was gone last weekend in Vegas (luckily I missed that cold snap) and I have missed a few of my runs this week due to the cold. If it is under 15* I generally give in and don’t run. I cannot believe time is passing so quickly with the race, I need to get my butt out there and running more, that’s for certain!
I’m one of the crazies that love my treadmill. I’ve even run a 20 mile long run on it because it was raining outside. I don’t do rain, strong winds, or sub 20 degrees outside
Of course, watching Gossip Girl makes the time fly by. However, when it’s summer I’ll be feeling different, but for now, me and my treadmill are BFFs!
I missed my long run this week due to a ski trip, so I’m a bit nervous about my next long run. I’ve never trained for a spring marathon, and I’m starting to think I liked the heat of the summer training for a fall marathon better!
I am a walk/runner, so I have trouble regulating my speeds on a treadmill. I wish I could watch tv while I run, that would make it so much easier! It is rough training for a spring marathon!
