Tomorrow I’m buying stock in Kleenex.

Nothing says sexy like droopy eyes, a chapped and reddened nose and two empty boxes of tissues. Am I right?

There is not much worse than the common cold. It runs you down, makes you weak and tired, puts your emotions through the ringer and then it hangs around for another week. Seriously? Worst illness that medication cannot treat in any simple way! To make matters worse I have to get on 3 airplanes this week. Nothing says fun like a horrible cold on the road, right?

It goes without saying that I am not working out until I am better. I made the mistake of running on Saturday and I think that was the straw that broke the camels back. I am down for the count.

Do you workout when you are sick? I tend to call it quits when I am sick, especially when my body feels weak.

They say you can work out as long as the symptoms are above the neck (not affecting your lungs, I guess), but I always rest when I’m sick. Just doesn’t seem worth it to me to potentially get more run down.

I am a fair weather runner when it comes to my health, if I feel at all ill, even above the neck, I don’t run. I don’t want to get run down, just like you said.

I usually try to push through it & end up making me feel worse for longer…not to smart on my part!

Hope you get to feeling better soon!

I hope you feel better soon.

I listen to my body and if I feel worn down I just wait until I feel better. There are times to push and there are times to rest the body.

Exactly. That’s MY excuse for not running. Feel better. :-)
