*I received the Lifetrak Move 300 activity tracker as a compensation for my time and efforts via Fitspiration for Moms Network. The thoughts, experiences and opinions are entirely mine.
I am definitely one of those people who does not move enough throughout the day. I sit all day at my job, then I sit all night when I relax. I don’t hit the recommended 10,000 steps per day at all. Of course, when I am running and training this is a different story, but lately I have been a total couch potato. So when I was given the opportunity to review the Lifetrak Move 300 I was very excited and knew it would get my butt moving!
The Move 300 model features the following:
- Bluetooth Smart Connectivity
You can check data through an app on your smartphone and also on your computer.
- Automatic Tracking
It tracks calories, steps and distance each day.
- Advanced Calorie Tracking
It uses your heart rate and activity to track just how many calories you burned each day.
- Dynamic Distance Calibration

- Enhanced Step Filtering
This takes out the movements that aren’t steps but may be counted as steps normally.
- ComfortFit Band
You can change the color of the band!
- ECG Accurate Heart Rate
With the push of a button you have your heart rate.
- No Charging
There is a long lasting battering in there.
- 7-Day and Hourly Records

Up to 90 ft this is fully submersible.
When I received my Move 300 I started setting it up and found that it was very easy to do so. Within minutes I was ready to go. I found the app and downloaded it on my iPhone so I could take advantage of the bluetooth synchronization between the two. I have worn the Move 300 running, walking and even swimming. I was so hesitant to take it into the pool with me, but they said it is waterproof and they are right!
Naturally, I would want to know what this baby would cost on the black market. Compared to other products that offer similar features and gadgets they rance from $59.99 up to $200! The Move 300 has a suggested retail price of $59.99 and they even have a newer, tip-top model coming out later in 2013, the Fit C410. That one will have a suggested retail price of $89.99.
What did I learn after wearing my Move 300 for a few weeks? I ran with it quite a few times and found that it accurately tracked my calorie burn and the distance that I ran. Both of which are very important to me when I am running. I learned that I get plenty of sleep, that I don’t walk around enough, that I am not burning enough calories and that I really love this device. The band was very comfortable on my wrist and it never felt awkward at all. I thought that I would have issues sleeping with it on, but I really didn’t even notice it at all.
