Happy 6th Blogiversary to me & a Giveaway

Yup, I have been blogging for six years as of today. Where has the time gone? I started blogging to fill a New Years resolution for 2008. My first blog post was epic, naturally. I made it three whole sentences.

After six years of writing, There Are Two Sides has changed a lot along with me. In the beginning I talked only about myself and what was going on in my life. New job, things I like to do, surgeries, DVR and shopping topped my topics. I didn’t really have any hobbies at that time so I didn’t know what I wanted to talk about, so I talked about myself. As soon as I found running in late 2010 I started reading healthy living and running blogs and realized that this is what I would prefer to write about.

I don’t know what I would be doing with my free time if it wasn’t for running and writing. I am thankful to have the opportunity to do both. So I am giving away a 24 pack of GU Espresso Love and a few other gels to celebrate 6 years!

  21. I like gu, so I’d like to enter. I started running in august 2011, I had been doing exercise DVD’s with my wife that were tough workouts but marketed to women and I found them less than motivating. I decided I’d like to run the holiday hustle 5k so I went out and ran, just kept going since then. My favorite race distance is a half marathon, it’s tough but no where near as crazy training as a marathon. (I haven’t run a marathon yet though, so my opinion might change one I complete the GCM this spring)

  42. I started running in 2007 and my favorite distance is the half marathon. Enough of a distance to be challenging, but not enough that training overtakes my life.

  43. I started running in 2011, but was sidelined by an injury and just came back to it about 6 months ago. Now I’m training for my first half marathon in April, and full marathon in June! Yikes!
